About this Event
Join us for a creative afternoon at FACC where you can have a go at quiltmaking! In this workshop, you will explore the basics of quiltmaking and hand embroidery, using traditional hand embroidery techniques.
You’ll learn how to create a 20x20cm quilted patch, developing key skills that are easily transferable to making larger quilts—whether by hand or using a sewing machine. We’ll take inspiration from the timeless craft of Welsh quilts which were created using hand stitching and scrap materials.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills. All materials and equipment will be provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity!
Whether you're dreaming of creating your own quilt or simply want to enjoy an afternoon of creativity, this event is a great introduction to the world of quiltmaking.
FACC is a small ground floor space. The main public space is wheelchair accessible. We have a toilet but this is upstairs. There are accessible toilets in Heavenly Desserts and Wetherspoons near the venue. Upstairs can be used as a quiet space.
