Come and explore the hidden dye plants of Cornwall alongside the colours that can be found from the scraps from Potager’s kitchen. The workshop will be based in Potager’s beautiful studio with time to go on a foraging walk in the gardens and woods. Explore non toxic mordant techniques, learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves and leave with your very own shibori dyed piece of organic silk and swatch sheet.We will be focusing on Roots, berries barks and dyes available in autumn.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and is a full introduction to natural dye with animal fibres.
The course costs £110 including organic silk, materials, tea and coffee.
Run by Naomi Hannam – ‘I am artist, educator and nature based facilitator. My work centres around weaving connection between land, community and creativity.
