This class will cover the basic use of Japanese woodworking tools: saws, chisels, planes and layout tools. We will also cover sharpening with water stones. Each student will be able to experiment with using the various tools after a demonstration of how they work. If you have Japanese hand tools you would like advice on, please bring them to the class.Paul Tuller has been using Japanese hand tools for woodworking since 1980.
