An intro to STEEKING | Manchester Wool & Yarn

Get ready to dive into the wonderful world of steeking – a crafty technique that opens up new possibilities for your knitting projects. But "What is STEEKING?"

Steeking is an amazing technique in which you are able to cut, yes cut your knitting! This allows you to make garments in the round with no need for purling, tackle complicated colour work charts and not get in a tangle or like we'll be doing in this workshop; make a super cute mug cozy.

This in-person event is perfect for yarn lovers eager to learn and have fun in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Our expericned instructor will guide you along the whole process so that we can take the "eek" out for steek and have you cutting your knits like a pro without it all becoming unraveled.

*Materials are included in your ticket price and needles are given on loan but if you have your own set that you enjoy using bring those along.
