Start your personal journey into all 8 limbs of yoga - more than a physical practice 🙏🏻A series of weekly gentle yoga and meditation classes with experienced and caring yoga teacher Tori Williams.
"These sessions will take you on a journey through yoga to discover how the practices can benefit body, mind and soul. If you feel overwhelmed and want to move better in your body, my yoga courses are designed for you.
"I will guide you through gentle, effective yoga practices to improve strength, mobility and balance in the body, woven with breath work to deepen the calming experience. You will learn that meditation can be attainable for even the busiest mind.
"You can choose to practise using a chair or on a yoga mat and there will be options for different abilities.
"Each week you will be invited to explore an aspect of yoga philosophy and discover how you can apply yogic principles in real life. All topped off with guided meditation and pranayama.
"I hope you will join me in a practice that has helped me greatly through many stages of my life. Yoga for health and happiness."
What can yoga do for you?
• Physical practices (asana) will strengthen body; improve balance, alignment, posture and core strength; tone muscle; and create healthy range of motion in joints.
• Breath work (pranayama) improves cardiovascular health, calms a busy mind and soothes a stressed nervous system.
• Yoga philosophy with satsang develops a more balanced view on the world and relationships with ourselves and others.
• Meditation and relaxation provides relief for an over-active mind and helps release tension in the body and muscles.
• Yoga is held in high regard for Improving your wellbeing and during this course you will achieve a greater sense of harmony in your body and mind.
Practise sheets will be provided for home practise. Yoga mats will be needed for floor or chair based practise. Limited spare mats are available. Please contact Tori to reserve yours.
This is a non-competitive and inclusive class for all abilities and will be held at Slade Vision Centre, Ilfracombe
Drop in: £12 (space dependent)
Discounted 8-week advanced course booking: £72 – includes 8 x Wednesdays throughout February and March. (Can be paid in two monthly payments with prior agreement).
In the event that minimum student numbers on this course of classes are not achieved, the course may be cancelled. Therefore, advanced booking is essential. Spaces are limited to 15 maximum.
