Welcome to the **Capitol Hill Spy Tour**! The theme of this tour is counterintelligence, or the technique and the art of spy-hunting. Hear about daring attempts to spy on the meetings that took place, and still do, take place behind closed doors by Washington D.C.’s elite decision-makers steps away from the Capitol. Content will focus on the Civil War era and the techniques used by men and women to avoid being caught. We look at some sites related to the pre-WWII era as well as the 1950's and 1960's and the House Unamerican Activities Committee (HUAC).
Our tour will start at the beautiful **Bartholdi Fountain and Gardens** located at the **U.S. Botanic Garden**. Prepare to be shocked as we take you on a journey through the neighborhood and reveal the history of stealing secrets steps away from the Capitol.
