About Thomas Austin
From Tom: Thomas Austin is a theo-folk singer and writer who really doesn't like writing about himself in the third person, but here he is, doing it anyway. He has released two EPs, Indiana and Evergreen, and one full-length album, Eternal Life, which you can find anywhere music is streamed, sold, or held ransom. He lives in Nashville with his wife Skye.
From us (to give Tom and his third person self a break): We have become fans enough of Thomas Austin to not only host him a number of times but to actually leave our house and see him in other places, most recently sharing the stage with Jess Ray. Whether we see him live or streaming from the Rabbit Room's The Local Show, we always come away encouraged by the freshness of Tom's songwriting, combining humor with reflection in a way that never gets old or predictable.
About Front of the Tapestry
Front of the Tapestry House Concerts in Cleveland, TN brings together music lovers on both sides of the microphone in an authentic, relaxing home setting where the messy and chaotic back of the tapestry is held at bay by the reminder that there is also a front of the tapestry.
All of our shows are free, not because there is no value, but because there is so much value we don't want to exclude anybody based on finances. At the same time we encourage everyone to be as generous as possible, knowing that all proceeds go directly to our artists. The address will be provided upon registration and in follow up emails as the event gets closer.
As always, we will have food available for anyone who would like to join us for some pre-show hang-out time beginning around 6 pm, with Tom hitting the stage around 7 pm.
