Join us for an enchanting evening in support of the Noke Koi, the original people of the Amazon Rainforest. We’re excited to announce that for the second time in the United States, we are hosting Chief Yama Nomanawa, Paje Aro Nomanawa, and Txana Ãta Nomanawa from the Noke Koi Nation, for a remarkable evening in support of the Nomawana Village, in Acre, Brazil. This unique event promises a rich tapestry of experiences, blending cultural immersion, live music, spiritual ceremonies, and insightful conversations.
Live Music: Immerse yourself in the rhythms of the rainforest with a captivating live music concert led by Txana Ata Nomawana, a renowned musician from the Nomawana Village featuring traditional tunes and contemporary sounds inspired by the Noke Koi's rich cultural heritage.
Rapeh Ceremony (optional): Feel the spirits of the forest as you receive the medicine of rapeh (Amazonian snuff) in a traditional Noke Koi ceremony. Some of the benefits of rapeh include grounding, deeper connection to Self and Spirit, more clarity, cleanse of negative energies, clearing of mental, physical, emotional or spiritual blockages, and more.
Storytelling: Listen to captivating stories from the heart of the rainforest, shared by community members. Gain a deeper understanding of the Noke Koi's traditions, struggles, and the profound wisdom they carry.
Crafts and Market: Immerse yourself in the intricate craftsmanship of the Noke Koi as you explore a market showcasing their unique handmade crafts.
