Magic City Books is excited to welcome back Samantha Ryan for a free, in-store event to celebrate her latest book, These Are Not My Final Words, on Tuesday, November 3, 2025 at 7:00pm. This event will take place in the Algonquin Room at Magic City Books, 221 E. Archer Street in the Tulsa Arts District.Samantha has joined us at our Magic City Book Bash and Bookstore Romance Day 2025. She will be in conversation with Jessica Cox.

About These Are Not My Final Words
Johnny is fine.
His best friend and writing partner, Jace, is dead.
But Johnny is fine.
It’s really not a problem that the animated TV duck that Johnny created with Jace appears at Jace’s funeral and begins speaking to Johnny with Jace’s voice.
Through messy memories, this unreliable narrator must learn to untangle his co-dependency from Jace by facing his unrequited feelings and opening his heart to new possibilities.
Maybe by letting go of the show, Johnny can learn to let go of his own grief and say goodbye to Jace – and Dick – for good.

Samantha Ryan is a queer writer from Tulsa, OK where she lives with her chunky German Shepherd, Harley, her needy black cat, Baxter and half a dozen plants she can barely keep alive. Her other works include Pride (Rattling Good Yarns Press) and Words My Friends Have Thrown Away (SIAMB!).
