Vinylsessions and Charm are excited and honoured to present one of Britain's top 20 music writers, the acclaimed author and music journalist Rob Chapman in an intimate evening of chat and music.
An acknowledged expert on two of the most legendary figures from the rock world of the 1960s and 70s - Syd Barrett and Nick Drake - Rob Chapman has lifted the lid on the enigma of their lives in two bestselling books - the acclaimed Syd Barrett: A Very Irregular Head on Faber & Faber in 2010 and his latest book Unsung: Unsaid - Syd and Nick in Absentia.
This special event featuring Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967) and Nick Drake's Pink Moon (1972l will see Rob, who has written regularly for Mojo magazine and Uncut, as well as The Times and The Guardian, take part in a Q&A with Graham Chalmers of the Harrogate Advertiser and his Charm colleague James Littlewood.
We will spin sections of both albums on our reference Technics SL1200 with HANA cartridge, Marantz amplification and Wharfedle's new Linton Heritage speakers.
