Pastor Rafael Cruz, father of Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, will be in El Paso, Texas, to deliver a riveting discourse centered on the significance of the faith community in leading and guiding the country from its inception, telling the story of faithful patriots beginning with the American Revolution until the present day. He will touch on many topics central to identity as Americans.
Host Committee Tickets, available for $1,000, will include two tickets to a private lunch with Pastor Cruz, a photo opportunity with Pastor Cruz, and two tickets to “An Evening with Pastor Rafael Cruz.” Donations of any amount can be given by clicking on Tickets and selecting Donation. Rafael Cruz is a powerful example of the American Dream. Born in Cuba, Rafael lived and suffered under a cruel, oppressive dictator. He began fighting Batista’s regime as a teenager and was imprisoned and tortured simply because he wanted to be free. Rafael arrived in Texas in 1957 with nothing but the clothes on his back and one hundred dollars sewn into his underwear. He got a job as a dishwasher, making 50 cents an hour, and worked his way through the University of Texas while learning English. Rafael Cruz became active in conservative politics as a grassroots activist during the 1980 Presidential Campaign of Ronald Reagan. He is an ordained minister, sharing the Word of God in churches and Pastors Conferences throughout the United States. He is also the president of Kingdom Translation Services. His son, Ted Cruz, is a U.S. Senator from Texas.
