Nanci is a listener first, and a vocalist second. While her influences include the great jazz singers, her phrasing and approach reveals a nimble sensibility like that of instrumentalists she idolizes. With a voice that evokes an era bygone, she gives the Great American Songbook the treatment it deserves- sensitivity, percussiveness, a sense of humor, and an unmistakable warmth. She is delighted to feature Belinda Moody and Pete Rozé as part of the Nanci Zhang Trio.
