Recent highlights include roles at the Opera de Lausanne, Houston Grand Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera, where he has portrayed Colline in La Bohème, Mephistopheles in Faust, and Leporello in Don Giovanni. Gradus has also performed internationally in Aida and Lucia di Lammermoor and made his European debut in Le Nozze di Figaro at L'Opera de Marseille.
