Legendary chronicler of the eccentricities and odd beauties of modern life, Martin Parr comes to Foyles to discuss his new collection of fashion photography, Fashion Faux Parr.
With essays by influential fashion industry personalities Patrick Grant and Tabitha Simmons, Fashion Faux Parr showcases Parr’s fashion photography for the first time in one book. More than 250 colour images, many previously unpublished, explore a wide variety of fashion work, from editorial collaborations with major magazines and houses, including Vogue, Balenciaga, and Gucci, to candid photographs from behind the scenes at major fashion events and portraits of industry icons.
Martin Parr is one of the best-loved photographers working today. His previous collections include The Non-Conformists and The Last Resort. A member of the international photo agency Magnum, Parr is also a world authority on the photobook.
Parr will be in conversation about his work and career. A host for this event will be announced shortly. The conversation will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Doors open from 6:45pm.
