About Linda Schifino:
Linda Schifino is a lifelong Pittsburgher and the author of Neighborhood Girl, a memoir about family, place, and loss set in East Liberty. She is a long-time writer with Madwomen in the Attic and has essays published in several literary magazines. Linda holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Carlow University where she is also Professor Emerita of Communication. She also teaches writing through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

About Michael Lockett:
Michael Lockett has an MFA in Creative Writing from Carlow University. His stories have appeared in The Northern Appalachian Review, Prometheus Dreaming, Twisted Vine, Hive Avenue, Taint Taint Taint, Matthew's Place (Matthew Shepard Foundation), History Through Fiction, Quarter Press, Appalachian Lit, and Still: The Journal. His debut collection of shorts is In the Cut (Sunbury Press). Originally from Central PA, he now lives in Pittsburgh with his partner, cats, and birds.
About Valerie Bacharach:
Valerie Bacharach is a graduate of Carlow University’s MFA program and a proud member of Carlow University’s Madwomen in the Attic writing workshops. Her book, Last Glimpse was published by Broadstone Books in August 2024. Her poem Birthday Portrait, Son, published by the Ilanot Review, was selected for inclusion in 2023 Best Small Fictions. She has been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes and one Best of the Net.
About Lou Boyle:
Lou Boyle, PhD, Emeritus Professor of English at Carlow University, served as department chair for twenty-one years and co-founded, along with Patricia Dobler, Carlow’s MFA in Creative Writing program. He has published numerous articles and received awards for medieval and Arthurian literature as well as for excellence in teaching and advising. Lou is a lifelong Pittsburgher.
