” is an eclectic variety show of music, comedy, dramatized Scripture, improvisation and more, performed by members of the Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries ensemble and guest artists from host Connection Church.
In addition to music and stories recounting the birth of Christ in the First Century, scenes and songs will challenge 21st Century imaginations to envision the “Second Christmas” that is intimated in the New Testament Scripture, the Book of Acts, where it is written:
“This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
The storyline complements the current sermon series about Acts delivered by Lamarr Lark, lead pastor of Connection Church, and assorted guest speakers.
Connection Church, a nine-year-old church plant with a multicultural congregation, is also known an “The Barn,” because it is the center of renovated historic farm property located at 28230 N. Saint Mary’s Road, Libertyville, IL.
Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries (KIT Ministries) is an ensemble of theater missionaries based in Elk Grove Village, IL. KIT has been on a missions assignment serving in music and media at The Barn since the pandemic ended in 2020. The ensemble, founded by actors Michael Edgar Myers and Vikki J. Myers, emphasizes using performing arts to entertain, educate, equip and empower local churches and community organizations to have Safe Faith Conversations. Safe Faith Conversations is a process of discussing diverse or difficult topics with respect and without fear, as some scenes in the program illustrate.
Seating reservations for “An Evening with Kingdom Impact Theater LIVE!” may be made through Eventbrite. There is no charge for admission, however, tax-deductible donations to support the ministry are welcomed through KIT's not-for-profit parent agency, Artists in Christian Testimony Intl.
