About this Event
A leading environmental thinker who has returned to civil disobedience, talking about his latest book Love, Anger and Betrayal which asks What good are science and rational persuasion if noone is paying attention?
For over five decades, Jonathan Porritt has been campaigning for people and planet - challenging governments, businesses and communities to act. His latest book is a reflection on how we stay hopeful in an age of ecological breakdown; the nature of resistance; and what methods lead to change. He shares the stories and inspirations of 26 youth climate campaigners. What does this mean for our futures and how do communities like ours turn grief and anger into meaningful action, sustaining hope despite the slowness of change?
Doors open 6.30 with a chance to see the exhibition Letters from the Global South.
The talk will begin at 19:00 followed by Q&A then book signing.
