Join us for an amazing evening with Jo Serrapere at La Maison de la Paix! Whether recreating old classic songs or performing original songs in her own deeply confessional and comic styles, Jo’s music stands original while always reflecting her love of American roots music. Her eclectic writing and performance fuses elements of various modern and traditional folk music, Delta and electric blues, roots rock, classic and alt-country, garage rock surf and swing. She has performed all over Michigan and points east and west. She was featured twice on A Prarie Home Companion, has won Detroit Music Awards and has been honored at Folk Alliance. Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 6:30pm. Your donation of $20 per person all goes to our artist. Thank you for supporting live music in our community!
SPECIAL FUNDRAISING DINNER AT 3:30PM
Jo also owns a house in Detroit, called Ms Roger’s Place. She is renovating the house to use as a home and a performance space. Recently, the house was broken into and ransacked. To help Jo get back on track, we are hosting a pre-show dinner starting at 4:00pm (arrive at 3:30) before the concert. The dinner is RSVP only, and will have a cost of $100 per plate (must be pre-paid and the show is included in the price). There will be meat and vegetarian options. There will also be an optional wine pairing for a small additional fee. We are limiting attendance to the dinner to 20 people. Please advise us of your meal option when you RSVP, please.
