Author and screenwriter Jeremy Dyson explores his incredible career and the influences on his acclaimed work in comedy and horror.Jeremy is one of the award-winning League of Gentlemen, along with Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Reece Sheersmith. He also created and co-wrote the West End show Ghost Stories and its film adaptation, which starred Andy Nyman, Paul Whitehouse and Martin Freeman.
He has written several books including Bright Darkness: The Lost Art of the Supernatural Horror Film, a non-fiction guide to horror films, and two collections of short stories: Never Trust a Rabbit – short-listed for the Macmillan Silver Pen award – and The Cranes That Build The Cranes, which won the 2010 Edge Hill award. His most recent book is The Warlock Effect - A highly entertaining, twisty adventure filled with magic, illusions and Cold War espionage.
Jeremy will be interviewed by Mike Muncer, host of one of the world's must succesful horror and film history podcasts, The Evolution of Horror. The show explores the history of the horror genre, from silent cinema to modern classics, via different subgenres.
There will also be a chance for audience Q&A, and a book signing, facilitated by Truman Books.
