Created by Carl Palmer and his management, An Evening with Emerson, Lake & Palmer is presented with the full cooperation of the Estates of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake. This is not a tribute act—this is the real thing. Using modern technology, the show reunites Carl Palmer with his two late bandmates, Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, both of whom passed away in 2016. The performance features video footage of Emerson and Lake from their legendary 1992 Royal Albert Hall ELP concert, synced with live performances from Carl Palmer and his ELP Legacy band (Paul Bielatowicz and Simon Fitzpatrick).
The musicians perform in sync, creating a complete and authentic Emerson, Lake & Palmer show. Fans will experience the music of ELP in its original, full form. Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) was a pioneering English progressive rock supergroup, formed in 1970 in London. The band, consisting of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (vocals, bass, guitar), and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion), released nine RIAA-certified gold albums and sold approximately 48 million records worldwide. Known for blending classical, jazz, and symphonic rock elements, ELP became one of the most popular and commercially successful progressive rock bands of the 1970s.
The band first gained prominence after performing at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, followed by the release of their self-titled debut and Tarkus, both of which reached the UK top five. Success continued with albums like Pictures at an Exhibition (1971), Trilogy (1972), and Brain Salad Surgery (1973). Despite disbanding in 1979, ELP reunited in the 1990s, releasing Black Moon (1992) and In the Hot Seat (1994) and touring until 1998. Their final performance took place in 2010 at the High Voltage Festival in London to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. Emerson and Lake passed away in 2016, leaving Palmer as the sole surviving member.
