Greenlight celebrates the work of Dzanc Books with an evening featuring the authors of three of their most recent publications! As a non-profit publisher, Dzanc publishes innovative and award-winning literary fiction and nonfiction (including the work of writers such as Roy Kesey, Yannick Murphy, Laura van den Berg, and many others), organizes various literacy programs, including the Writers in the Schools program and author mentorship program, and offers three annual literary prizes. Tonight's authors include Alan Michael Parker, whose Bingo Bango Boingo is a wholly original collection of flash fiction and and Bingo cards; Emma Smith-Stevens, author of the poignant and satirical novel of masculinity, fatherhood, and isolation, The Australian, now in paperback; and Sarah Yahm, author of Unfinished Acts of Wild Creation, which follows a tight-knit, eccentric Jewish family over four decades, combining the madness of motherhood with the manic absurdity of grief. Join us to celebrate these authors and Dzanc Books with a reading, Q&A and book signing.
