Crystal Bowersox, a northwest Ohio native, has built her world around music. By age 10 she was already performing in local clubs, and at 18 she moved to Chicago with a curious heart—busking on subway platforms, working odd jobs, and attending school. Immersed in Chicago’s rich musical history, she broadened her sound and eventually auditioned for Season 9 of American Idol, where her breakout presence made a lasting impact.Her 2010 debut album Farmer’s Daughter (Jive Records) launched a career that now includes three LPs, two EPs, numerous singles, and her in-development theatrical rock concert, Trauma Queen. Crystal has recorded and performed alongside several notable artists and continues to use her voice and platform to support organizations close to her heart.
