An Evening with Chef Joe Paxton

At The War Memorial, we believe in the power of cuisine as art. For our March 28th edition of An Evening with Chef Joe Paxton, Chef Joe’s Steakhouse is open for one night only! You’ll experience a themed menu with remarks on each course delivered by our Executive Chef, along with an opportunity for you to ask questions on ingredient selection and technique. 

Join us for a special evening that includes a 4-course meal and full cash bar with suggested pairings in our beautiful lakefront ballroom. The evening’s menu is listed below.

Upon Arrival  

Bloody Mary Shrimp Cocktail 

Garlic and Old bay poached shrimp/ bloody mary cocktail sauce/ house pickles/   

First Course 

Chopped Salad 

Tasso/ crispy shallot/ blue cheese crumbles/ pickled red onion/ romaine/ dried Mi cherries/ boiled egg/ tomato/ cucumber/ honey mustard vinaigrette 

Second Course 

Steak au Poivre 

Seared spencer steak/ duck fat pomme frites/ crispy brussel sprouts/ cognac and peppercorn sauce 

Third Course 

Valrhona Chocolate and Grand Marnier Mousse 

Candied orange/ spiked whipped cream/ shortbread/ sea salt 

Full Cash Bar will be available throughout the evening 

Your ticket price already includes a 21% gratuity and 6% Michigan sales tax 

*Dinner experiences at The War Memorial require a minimum attendance; guest minimums may vary per event. If the minimum attendance requirement is not met for this event, you will be notified by Friday, March 21, 2025 with a rescheduled date or the option to receive a full refund.
