Join us for what promises to be a very special evening with bestselling author Ben Kane, as he talks about his most recent publication, Crusader.Kenya born, Irish by blood and UK resident, Ben Kane’s passion for history has taken him to almost 70 countries, and all 7 continents. During his travels and subsequent research, including walking hundreds of miles in Roman military gear, he has learned much about the Romans and the way they lived. His novels are commonly seen in the Sunday Times top ten; published in twelve languages, they have sold more than a million copies worldwide. A former veterinary surgeon, he lives in Somerset with his children, where he writes full time.
Doors open at 5pm where you'll be given time to browse the bookshop and get refreshments. The author talk will begin at 5.30pm and will last for approximately 45 minutes. After the talk there will be a Q&A session and book signing opportunity. Copies of Crusader will be available on the day however we recommend ordering them with your ticket to ensure you get a copy.
Unless medically exempt you will be required to wear a mask when standing and walking about the bookshop. However during the talk we will provide adequately spaced seating and tables where you can eat and drink without needing your mask. Please note that tickets purchased together will be seated together, and groups are a maximum of 6.
