Born in Iran, Daniel Nayeri spent time as a refugee, before immigrating to the US at age 8. He wrote about that experience in his book Everything Sad is Untrue, which won several awards and landed on best book lists at NPR, The NY Times, and The Wall Street Journal. His most recent book, The Many Assassinations of Samir, the Seller of Dreams, was just named a winner of the Newbery Honor Award, the highest award in Children’s Literature. Come join us for an evening of delicious Iranian food & an interview with the author. Doors open at 6:15, the program will begin at 7:00.
