We hope you can join us to hear from local author Rob King on his debut middle grade fantasy - The Door in the Stone (first in a trilogy!). Following the author talk, we will have a time for Q&A with the audience and book signing. Refreshments will be provided!
About the book:
When a mysterious woman blackmails Vic and Em into leaving our world through The Door in the Stone, the lonely siblings plunge into a war in Kavenland, a world of myth and magic. Fate leads them to meet best friends Larkin, Ariana, and Noll, who are traveling through Kavenland’s frightening forest on a quest to save their home. With unique and growing powers, the five kids must learn to trust each other while taking on the strange and dangerous creatures of the woods, including the awful Scourge, in a mad dash to save Kavenland—and each other.
About the author:
Rob King is the play-by-play voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the primary pregame and postgame television host for the Pittsburgh Pirates. An Emmy Award winner, King has covered high school, college, and professional sports in Pittsburgh since 2000. An English Literature major in college, Rob is now an author as well. He has released his debut novel, "The Door in the Stone", the first book in a fantasy trilogy aimed at middle grade students but designed to be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
