This is a bilingual English and Spanish edition of Poemitas de maíz by Mendigo Diego, pseudonym of the Cordovan poet Manolo Marcos, who will read his surrealism-influenced poems in the original Spanish, while Rafael Peñas Cruz, translator and editor of the book, will read the versions in English. After the readings, there will be an open discussion on the relevance of the language of surrealism today, with the participation of Ara de Haro, writer and doctor in Art History, whose latest novel "La pintura pelirroja vuelve a París" revolves around the life and work of the painter Remedios Varo.

Una edición bilingüe en inglés y español de los Poemitas de maíz de Mendigo Diego, seudónimo del poeta cordobés Manolo Marcos, quien leerá sus poemas influenciados por el lenguaje surrealista en el español original, mientras que Rafael Peñas Cruz, traductor y editor del libro, leerá las versiones en inglés. Tras las lecturas, habrá una charla abierta sobre la relevancia actual del lenguaje del surrealismo, con la participación de Ara de Haro, escritora y doctora en Historia del Arte cuya última novela "La pintura pelirroja vuelve a París" gira en torno a la vida y obra de la pintora Remedios Varo.
