February 5th, 2025
Tickets: $25.00
Join Danny and Jono as they share songs they've written together, from their recent collaborative album "Likable", as well as gems from their personal repertoires and other fun surprises.
Jono Manson is a veteran singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and storyteller whose career spans more than fifty years. From New York City clubs to Madison Square Garden, from backing Bo Diddley to collaborating with artists across three continents, he has built an extraordinary life in music. Now rooted in Santa Fe, Jono continues to shape the local scene through his performances, production work, and community spirit.
Songwriter Danny Rubin is also well-known as a screenwriter and playwright. Among many other things Danny wrote the original story, and screenplay for the 1993 comedy film Groundhog Day. About songwriting, Danny says: "I’ve been writing original songs since I was thirteen, and every now and then one of them winds up getting recorded. My influences? Uh … The Smothers Brothers? The Chad Mitchell Trio? But also Phil Ochs, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Randy Newman, Tom Petty - and then everybody else. I like that it doesn’t take nearly as long to finish a song as it does to write a screenplay or stage play, so it’s always satisfying in that way."
