An Evening of Remembrance is to honor and empower victims and survivors of domestic violence during Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Join The Chloe Randolph Organization for an evening of celebration of life with victims and survivors of Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is a time when we as a community, and a nation come together in support of victims, survivors, and their families for awareness, advocacy, education, and empowerment.
Hope is the belief that, regardless of circumstances, the future is full of possibilities. Please join us for an evening of remembrance, hope, awareness, and advocacy.
We are excited to announce the following KEY NOTE SPEAKERS attending An Evening of Remembrance.
-Miss Kansas, Alexis Smith. She is a survivor of Domestic Violence and her platform is HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.
ALEXIS SMITH – MISS KANSAS 2024
Miss Kansas, Alexis Smith, is a graduate of Newman University, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Alexis’ community service initiative is Respect Reclaimed: Advocating for Healthy Relationships. It is Alexis’ mission to spread awareness of unhealthy and abusive relationships in all facets of life. Being able to identify what a healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationship looks like is vital in the process of comprehending how to practice healthy behaviors.
COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE (CSI)
Alexis is committed to educating individuals about promoting healthy relationships and intimate partner violence. Her presentations cover various forms of abuse, not just physical, to help individuals recognize and prevent them. This ongoing education aims to create a supportive community and empower positive changes.
Miss Kansas travels throughout the state working closely with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, Kansas Department of Transportation, and Lead For America. She provides education and advocates for healthy relationships during her year as Miss Kansas.

Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention Training and Consulting
“Mark is woven into the fabric of the battered women’s movement”, said Lynn Rosenthal, our country’s first White House adviser on violence against women. He is a national trainer to police executives, patrol officers, training officers, prosecutors, judges, legislators, social service providers, healthcare professionals and victim advocates in all fifty states for over thirty years. An international lecturer at police academies in Australia, Canada, Germany, England, Northern Ireland, Russia, the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Georgia, the Federated States of Micronesia, Aruba, China, the Islands of the Bahamas, Brazil, Turkey, Cyprus, Singapore, the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Moldova. He is a Fulbright Specialist for the Department of State and is a survivor, enabling him to teach both effectively and passionately. In short, he is devoted to ending domestic/sexual, elder and child abuse as a police officer, detective, educator, program supervisor and now consultant and advisor. In past 20 years he has traveled 2,478,313 miles to all 50 states and 16 other countries while visiting 1,250 cities, towns and villages.
Law Enforcement Career
• Twenty-one-year member of the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department – Served as Lieutenant to the Domestic Violence Division – member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team for fifteen years.
• A key creator of the largest police domestic violence investigative unit in the United States responsible for investigations of elder, child abuse, domestic and sexual violence.
• 1994 Graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy – Session 178
• Co-wrote the Police Officer Standards and Training certified curriculum on Law Enforcement Intervention a nd Investigation to Domestic and Sexual Violence (Tennessee)
Awards/Recognitions
• 2017 selected a Fulbright Specialist U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA)
• Selected in 1995 as one of the top ten police officers in the United States by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and Parade Magazine
• Recipient of 121 commendations and 51 awards and certificates including the 1995 National Improvement of Justice Award and the 1998 Nashvillian of the Year Award.
• 2012 Family Justice Center Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award
• 2011 “Visionary Award” by End Violence Against Women International
• 2011 Distinguished Faculty Award by the National District Attorney’s Association
Speaking/Testifying
• In October of 1995 Lt. Wynn was invited to the White House by President Clinton to deliver a speech on strategies to prevent domestic violence in the United States.
• In April 1993 Lt. Wynn was called to testify before Congress for the Energy and Commerce Committee – Subcommittee on Health and Environment. He spoke on the public health issue of violence in the family.
• In June of 1994 he testified a second time before Congress going before the House of Representatives’ Committee on the Judiciary on the positive effects on mandatory arrest in incidents of family violence.
• In October of 1998 he was selected to represent U.S. Law Enforcement before the first United States/Russian conference on Violence Against Women in Moscow.
