About this Event
This concert features the Rossetti Ensemble in an evening of piano quartets. The Brahms first piano quartet will be familiar to many, especially for its finale “Alla Zingarese”. But the Schubert is something of a rarity, in fact his first work written for piano and strings, 3 years before the Trout Quintet. D’Indy was a major figure in the French musical landscape at the turn of the 20th century. His Piano Quartet bear the strong influence of César Franck, his teacher, and is one of the most important contribution to the genre in France.
