Pianist Matthew Erikson will be performing Ravel’s Sonatine, Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A major, D.959, and Chopin’s Scherzo No. 3. Tickets cannot be reserved ahead of time, and seats are available on a first come basis. Goodwill donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds go toward the maintenance and upkeep of our historic Johnson & Son pipe organ.
Pianist Matthew Erikson graduated with a B.A. degree in Music from Amherst College and a M.M. degree in Piano from The Hartt School (Hartford, Conn.) where he studied with Paul Rutman and Luis de Moura Castro. He has played and participated in music festivals in Prague, Paris, the Amalfi Coast, and Fortaleza, Brazil and has performed with the Arizona State University Orchestra in Tempe, Arizona. Mr. Erikson currently studies with Boston Conservatory’s Max Levinson and is a frequent chamber music collaborator and vocal accompanist.
