For those of you who don't know us - we are The Nick Project - a Not For Profit started after our friend Nicholas Arsenault was taken from us far too soon in 2021. Nick spent most of his adult life in the Bow Valley. He was a Millwright at Sunshine for years, and was working at Lafarge the last few years of his life. We started this organization so Nick could continue to help people - community, the great outdoors and music were his favourite things, so we wanted to create something that would allow his legacy to live on in a way that gives back. Nick is from Moncton, NB, and therefore we have a chapter over there as well.
Over the last few years we have raised money for different projects - our main projects have been with Stoney Education Authority, supporting their outdoor education initiatives, and a Scholarship for an extracurricular program at Mount Royal that we fund for youth with financial barriers pursuing music. We also donate yearly to a group that holds free skateboarding camps for youth with financial barriers. In Moncton, we have a grant for schools to apply to that support field trips for outdoor education.

This year, we are supporting a new bike program through the Stoney Education Authority! We will be providing them a wish list of gear, parts and off-site skill building field trips/lessons to places like the Nordic Centre and bike parks!
