Join us at GNM: Hancock for an evening with ornithologist, Tom Cadwallender.
Born and raised Northumbrian, Tom Cadwallender is currently a freelance ornithologist, bird tour guide, vlogger, broadcaster, lecturer, traveller and most importantly a Birdwatcher. Tom has been studying birds, particularly waders and seabirds, for well over five decades and has a rich in-depth knowledge of many species. A British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) diehard, appointed BTO Regional Representative for Northumberland in 1991 and enjoys nothing more than counting birds for conservation, financial gain and fun, and he will spread the 'ornithological word' to anyone who will listen.
Anna Temple has had an interest in the natural world from a very young age and is passionate about birdlife in the North East. She has previously worked on the conservation breeding of threatened species, including Curlew, and following her degree, worked with the Wetlands Wildfowl Trust (WWT). She has learned a lot of her birdwatching skills from Tom.
Join us for a relaxed evening of conversation where you will also have the opportunity to ask Tom & Anna all your ornithological questions.
