This recital is a fundraiser for Alison Lee and Isaac Pastor-Chermak's upcoming CD project featuring the two Brahms cello sonatas and his Op.91 Lieder. Therefore, admission is by donation. Feel free to contribute whatever you'd like, but be sure to reserve your spot on the Ticketing page!

ABOUT THE ARTIST
A native of Fremont, California, Alison Lee is a pianist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a top prize winner of many competitions including the Midwest International Piano Competition, Thursday Musical’s Scholarship Competition and the Dorothy Van Waynen Piano Competition. Her concerto appearances include performances with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra and Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony. Besides playing in a piano-cello duo with her husband Isaac Pastor-Chermak, she has also performed with ensembles including the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Da Camera of Houston, and Earplay. She currently serves on the board of East Bay Music Foundation as director of the East Bay Chamber Music Festival and Ensemble Matching Program. She dreams of making chamber music more accessible to young musicians and is the current director of East Bay Music Foundation’s Chamber Music Festival and Ensemble Matching Program. Alison holds a doctoral degree in piano performance from the University of Minnesota and previously studied with Lydia Artymiw, Jon Kimura Parker, and Angela Cheng. She currently teaches piano, chamber music, and music theory in Fremont and Berkeley.
