Sara Schaefer is an Emmy and WGA award winning stand-up comedian, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles. She’s known for creating her very own miniature stand-up club and her often viral takedowns of the club comedy scene.
She has written for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Netflix’s The History of Swear Words, Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalco, Comedy Central’s Problematic with Moshe Kasher and Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. Her own Comedy Central half hour debuted in 2019.
Sara hosts a popular podcast called The Schaefer Shakedown and has appeared on numerous others including Full Release with Samantha Bee, Vulture’s Good One, You Made it Weird, Baby Geniuses, The Todd Glass Show, The Bechdel Cast, Office Hours Live, ScriptNotes, You Up w/ Nikki Glaser, Put Your Hands Together among others.
Sara published her first book, Grand, in 2020 with Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books.
