Alastair played domestic cricket for Essex from 2003-2023.
He was appointed MBE in 2011 and promoted to CBE in 2016 for services to cricket. In the 2019 New Year Honours, he was appointed a Knight Bachelor for services to cricket. Recently Alastair has moved into the world of cricket commentary with excellent knowledge of all formats of the game.
