About this Event

Join Injury Matters this National Nutrition Week for the “An appetite for change: Preventing falls in older adults” lunch and learn seminar. Guest presenter Dr Marc Sim, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University, will discuss recent evidence around nutrition and falls risk among older adults and will explore:

• The relationship between dietary intake and falls risk.

• Which nutrients should older adults be incorporating into their diet?

• Dietary knowledge among the older adult population

• Screening for nutritional deficiencies in older adults

• Nutrition-based strategies following diagnosis of sarcopenia

In-person attendees will be provided lunch.
