About this Event
This year we’ll celebrate coming together with a traditional Appalachian dinner served at the Historic, Garrott’s Stonewall House, Gallatin, TN.
During An Appalachian Christmas Dinner, guests will feast on an authentic Appalachian dinner complete with moonshine, wine, and stack cake and authentic Appalachian storyteller, and live music! Storytelling will be provided by Tom Hicks and Susie Monick and Joe Collins, whose original stories blend traditional mountain folklore, music, and an awareness of contemporary Appalachia.
This event benefits: Sumner County Museum
The Sumner County Museum began in the 1970’s with the vision of John Garrott, a local businessman who also has the love and knowledge of history of the county. Their mission is to make the history of Sumner County meaningful and attractive to a broad audience by collecting, studying, exhibiting, and interpreting through educational programming, special exhibits, publications and research.
