An American Southerner in Northern Greece

Christopher C. King - writer, curator, Grammy-winning producer, and honorary Greek citizen - will present an evening of Demotic music explorations at the Maliotis Center on October 1st. Mr. King will introduce his work, read from his book, "Lament from Epirus: An Odyssey into Europe's Oldest Surviving Folk Music," and describe his on-going and future music projects in Greece. He will play rare, archival 78 rpm discs from his collection and will be accompanied by Epirote violinist Aurel Quirjo.
