About the Book:
In Hello I Love You: A Memoir of Childhood and Old Age, I'm looking at the turn life begins to take as you enter old age and how memory, restored with photographs and words, can open a view into one particular life. And though I might bring you into that particular life, I think my peers and those who are beginning to think about growing old, will be able to see something of themselves.
I don’t think writing about loss is just sad. It’s that but it’s other things, too. It’s gratitude for what you have, and, you know this, it’s life. It’s what we have.
Finally, being old can be unexpectedly funny.

She was the Contributing Editor for Tropic Magazine, The Miami Herald’s (now former) Sunday magazine. She wrote features and essays that included her photographs.
