Saturday, October 18, 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Pioneer School House, 437 E. 3rd St, lower levelThis year the German Club of Anchorage is inviting you to a brand-new event: An afternoon of German Language and Trivia. This event will be centered around a Germanic-themed Trivia contest, hosted both in English and German. We also will be encouraging conversations in German with the native speaker members of the club. All German language abilities are welcome, even if your level is simply “interested to learn.” Even though this won’t be an official teaching session, we hope that you will walk away learning something about the Germanic culture or language. Our Club’s motto is to unite to preserve our cultures, so we welcome everyone to help keep the Germanic spirit thriving in Alaska.
This event is free for all, so please invite anyone you think is interested in learning about Germany. We are also providing some light refreshments.
Parking is in the schoolhouse lot, plus parking along Eagle St. and 3rd Avenue. The meeting room is on the lower level of the schoolhouse (around back), which is accessible by a ramp and stairs.
