To celebrate Immanuel’s 200th Anniversary this year, we have invited renowned civil rights leader, Bishop William Barber II, to speak on Sunday, May 5th at 3pm. Bishop Barber is a preacher, social activist, author and sought-after public speaker who became nationally known for his leadership with the Moral Monday movement in North Carolina. He has recently begun a new phase of his work as the founding director of the Center for Public Theology & Public Policy at Yale Divinity School.
