NOTE: This event is only for the children of Australian Defence Force members.



*IMPORTANT* All required questions in the Eventbrite registration form MUST be completed to confirm your tickets and attendance to this event.

The Child of the ADF Medallion (CoADFM) will be presented to children who have shown resilience and growth in managing the challenges of the ADF lifestyle.

Participation in the CoADFM is open to all recognised dependents (aged 18 and under) of full time ADF members (SERCAT 6/7 and SERVOP C).

Medallions are awarded to children who have shown resilience and growth in managing the challenges of the ADF lifestyle, in particular:

  • ​Relocation(s) due to the ADF lifestyle requirements that have been met with challenges and opportunities that have supported additional learning opportunities and personal growth.
  • Connecting in with new schools, new people, sport and/or social groups offering opportunities for personal growth and to explore new beginnings.
  • The absence of the member for service reasons that has created additional stressors within the family unit. Although absence is at times a requirement when serving within the ADF it is not always easy to manage for some.
  • In support of ADF capability requirements where there has been additional work taskings requested of the serving member that were unforeseen.

Families are not required to elect the specific reason for their request.

You should carefully read the following information to ensure you are aware of all requirements relating to this program.

• Each eligible participant may only receive one CoADFM during member’s service.

• When registering for the program, you must register for a ticket for each eligible dependant you are nominating to receive a Medallion.

• Ensure that the email address you register with is accurate as you will receive your confirmation email, and any additional information or changes to the event, by email.

•Parents are required to remain onsite to supervise their children at all times.

I f you or someone in your family are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms on the day of the event or have tested positive to COVID, please stay at home.

• A photographer may in attendance. If you don’t want to be photographed, or have your family photographed, please let the photographer know. Please note: any photos taken may be used in DMFS publications, online or on social media.

• If you would like to cancel your nomination, please click on the link in your confirmation email ‘View and manage your order online’. This takes you to your ‘Tickets’ page where you can choose the ‘Cancel my Order’ option to release the tickets back to the event listing.
