What does it mean to give a gift? Or to receive one openly? Whether it’s a present, a compliment, or a `gift of care,’ these are questions many of us quietly wrestle with. This adda invites you to pause, reflect, and rediscover the joy of giving and receiving care.
In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, we invite you to an informal and intimate expressive arts salon to rediscover the simple gift of care. Through play, storytelling, and ritual, explore how care can restore connection, spark joy, and ripple outward into our lives. Together, we’ll craft and exchange a small token of care, leaving with ways to weave care into everyday life.
The session will be conducted by Red House Resident, and Delhi-based counselling psychologist and IEATA-affiliated Expressive Arts facilitator, Manini Kumar — trained in forensic and applied psychology. Having worked across her own private practice, MindTribe, and the National Human Rights Commission, she brings experience that spans individual therapy, group processes, and research. She aims to bridge the clinical and the creative, drawing on visual arts, drama, music, writing, play, and nature as modes of healing.
Note that this isn’t about `fixing` yourself; it’s about discovering the joy, curiosity, and play that emerge when we begin to care again, deeply and intentionally. Come as you are. Bring your stories and your hopes. And leave with the gift of care (and an actual tangible token of care you will have made yourself!)
Note - Attendees may be seated on a carpeted floor
