About this Event
We are stoked to combine two of our most popular programs, Surf on Saturdays(SOS) and VetSurf. These serve Veterans (VetSurf), First Responders and anyone living with a disability. The programs will run on select Saturdays each month at the Surfer's End beach access in beautiful Middletown, RI. Below are details on each. See you at the beach!
We encourage all Veterans, First Responders and those living with disabilities to join us for our Surf on Saturdays / VetSurf programs to share camaraderie with like-minded brothers and sisters. AmpSurf provides all necessary surfing equipment for new surfers. Certified Adaptive Surf Instructors are available to teach any participants wanting to learn to surf. A beach access wheelchair is available for anyone who requires it.
If you have your own gear and can surf independently, please join us and share your love of surfing with fellow Veterans, First Responders and those living with disabilities.
If sign-ups for the ticket type you need have already closed, please sign up for an upcoming session. We need to ensure we have proper staffing so you can have an epic surf session!
AmpSurf™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to Promote, Inspire, Educate, and Rehabilitate (PIER) all people with disabilities and their families through adaptive surfing and other outdoor activities.
AT THE BEACH SCHEDULE:
6:30 to 07:00 AM - Meet, greet and suit up
7:00 AM – Dry land instruction (if needed)
7:10 to 8:00 AM – In-water surf instruction/Free Surf
Those who already surf, please bring your own gear. Anyone wanting to learn to surf should bring the following items: swim suit, towel, sun screen, picture ID. AmpSurf will provide a surfboard, wetsuit, and rash guard. A beach wheelchair is available if needed for those learning.
