Ximena Abarca is a Chilean/Australian singer-songwriter.
In 2003, she began her musical career in Chilean television after joining the singing contest 'Protagonistas de la Música' on Channel 13 and winning first place.
This experience allowed her to record her first album with Warner Music Chile and perform at the largest festival in Latin America, the Viña del Mar Festival.
Since then, she has recorded six albums.
Ximena moved to Australia in 2010, looking for new challenges.
In 2015, she joined her current band, Huanchaco, a world fusion music group with whom she recorded three albums: Arrhythmia (2015), Comunión (2016) and Passages (2020).
Ximena currently dedicates herself to teaching music and giving Spanish through Song workshops, a program that teaches Spanish to children through music with original compositions.
Amla is a multi-instrumentalist (flautist, violinist & vocalist) & composer who creates original and improvised ethereal and worldly soundscapes.
Informed by her Classical background in flute and years of experience in a diverse range of musical genres with other musicians (Latin pop, Electronic, Mariachi, Celtic Folk, Jazz, Flamenco, to name a few), she floats through carefully crafted melodies and emotive lines that take you on an enjoyable journey.
