About this Event
AmeriHealth Caritas Population Health Training Team in conjunction with Keystone First will host The Missouri Community Action Network (MCAN)Poverty Simulation on October 23, 2024. The MCAN Poverty Simulation is a three-hour experiential exercise designed to sensitize participants to the realities faced by low-income families. The simulation provides participants with the opportunity to assume the role of a low-income family member living on a limited budget.
The MCAN Poverty Simulation helps participants better understand decisions low-income families make every day and the fears and frustrations they feel. The simulation is not a game, and the intent is not to put low-income individuals on display. It is an experiential exercise that uses real life situations to create a deeper awareness for those who may interact with low-income families.
