Presenter James Hayward was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and has lived in Green Bay for 43 years. He has had a lifelong interest in history and historic preservation, including a BA in History from UWGB. He worked at Heritage Hill State Historical Park for 15 years during which he was responsible for a variety of operations and preservation projects. James has presented for numerous organizations including the UW-Extensions, Barns Now Conference, the Midwest Open Air Museums Council, Wisconsin State Historical Society, and the Wisconsin State Medical Society in addition to local historical societies, rotaries and school groups. James has and continues to explore and enjoy America’s best idea: our national park system.
