Blaine Howard is a veteran of rock, Americana, and acoustic music in the upper Midwest, having performed throughout the region for over two decades in bands, duos, and as a solo act. He's played hundreds of shows across ten states, in bars, theaters, living rooms, and on festival stages. Blaine has shared the stage with Grammy winners Nickel Creek (featuring Chris Thiele, current host of NPR's "Live From Here") Americana standouts such as John Gorka and Bill Mallonee, and regional mainstays like Brian Bethke, Greg Gilbertson, and Jeff White. Blaine is occasionally joined by his wife Leah, where they love to sing harmony. Blaine’s acoustic solo set includes award-winning originals and an eclectic mix of covers spanning six decades of pop, country, rock and folk. He spins original versions of songs by artists like Bob Dylan, Journey, Miranda Lambert, CCR, Van Morrison, Indigo Girls, John Legend, Tom Petty, and Chris Stapleton. Blaine is the 2016 winner of the Great River Folk Fest songwriting contest (LaCrosse, Wisc.) and a top ten finalist in the 2004 Hank Williams songwriting contest (Flat Rock, N.C.). Videos of his live performances have garnered more than 5,000 views across Facebook and YouTube. Blaine is readying a set of twelve originals to record for a new CD, set for release in 2019.
