To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, please join us for a day of Uzbek culture, food, and music in the beautiful suburbs of Washington, DC!
?? Uzbekistan's Independence Day coincides with Labor Day weekend in the U.S. This year we have a special occasion, since it is the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. So it's an excellent opportunity to bring the community together.
? Enjoy Uzbek food, shashlik, and palov made in a large traditional Uzbek pot by Virginia's renowned oshpaz-chef Sodiq aka!
? Reconnect with old friends and make new contacts. It's an excellent opportunity for professional networking too!
? Participate in contests, play games and take part in sports activities, like frisbee, badminton and beach volleyball!
? Listen to stories by Marina Abrams, author of "Orange and Blue: The World of Barzu", a series of children's books about Central Asian cultures.
?? For children, we will organize special activities, such as slack lines, tattoo station and games.
? Bring fishing rods, relax and try your luck in the lake.
